Church Bells

The church bells of Christ Church are located in the War Memorial Bell Tower and are the heaviest set of six bells in Australia.

The full set of six bells first rang on 28 June 2019 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Peace Treaty of Versailles that ended the Great War.

That occasion marked the end of a 90 year journey since local Parishioners first envisioned the bells as part of the church.

Now visitors from across Australia and the globe drop by Bundaberg to see the church bells.

The heaviest of the bells weighs 748kg and the lightest 225kg.

Bell training is provided free of charge.  If you would like more information on joining the Bell Ringers, please contact the Parish Office on 07 4151 3128.

You can hear and view the bells in action in the below video.
